สำนักวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์เครื่องสำอาง มฟล. จัดบรรยายพิเศษระดับโลกด้านนวัตกรรมเครื่องสำอางยั่งยืนและเศรษฐกิจสร้างสรรค์ โดยผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากมหาวิทยาลัยโซล เมื่อวันที่ 26 มกราคม 2569 สำนักวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์เครื่องสำอาง มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง (มฟล.) จัดกิจกรรมบรรยายพิเศษในหัวข้อ “Antioxidative and Anti-inflammatory Natural Products: Healthcare and Cosmetic Applications” โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก Professor Young-Joon Surh, Professor Emeritus จาก College of Pharmacy, Seoul National University ประเทศเกาหลีใต้ เป็นวิทยากรผู้เชี่ยวชาญระดับโลก
รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ภญ.วันดี รังสีวิจิตรประภา คณบดีสำนักวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์เครื่องสำอาง เป็นประธานเปิดกิจกรรม โดยระบุว่าการบรรยายครั้งนี้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโครงการ “นวัตกรรมเครื่องสำอางมุ่งสู่ความยั่งยืนและเศรษฐกิจสร้างสรรค์” ภายใต้การสนับสนุนของงบประมาณโครงการ Reinventing University 2569
เนื้อหาของการบรรยายมุ่งเน้นไปที่กลไกระดับโมเลกุลของสารสกัดจากธรรมชาติ โดยเฉพาะการทำงานของ Nrf2 และ NF-κB ที่ถูกกระตุ้นด้วยสารพฤกษเคมี ซึ่งเป็นองค์ความรู้สำคัญในการพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์ดูแลสุขภาพและเครื่องสำอางที่ทรงประสิทธิภาพในยุคปัจจุบัน
กิจกรรมนี้จัดขึ้นภายใต้ความร่วมมือกับภาคีเครือข่ายวิจัย นำโดย รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ภก.ไชยวัฒน์ ไชยสุต จากคณะเภสัชศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ และกลุ่มวิจัยเครื่องสำอางเพื่อความงามและความเป็นอยู่ที่ดี ซึ่งถือเป็นการตอกย้ำความแข็งแกร่งของการทำงานร่วมกันระหว่างสถาบันการศึกษาในประเทศ และผู้เชี่ยวชาญระดับสากล ความสำเร็จในครั้งนี้เป็นไปตามเป้าหมายของโครงการพลิกโฉมมหาวิทยาลัย (Reinventing University) ในการสร้างเครือข่ายวิจัยร่วมกับนักวิจัยที่มีศักยภาพสูงจากต่างประเทศ เพื่อยกระดับงานวิจัยของไทยสู่ระดับสากล โดยสำนักวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์เครื่องสำอางและเครือข่ายพันธมิตร ตั้งเป้าที่จะสานต่อความร่วมมือเพื่อสร้างสรรค์นวัตกรรมใหม่ๆ ร่วมกันอย่างยั่งยืนในอนาคต
School of Cosmetic Science, MFU Hosts Special Lecture on Innovations in Sustainable Cosmetics with SNU Expert
On January 26, 2026, the School of Cosmetic Science at Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) hosted a distinguished special lecture titled “Antioxidative and Anti-inflammatory Natural Products: Healthcare and Cosmetic Applications.” The event featured Professor Young-Joon Surh, Professor Emeritus from the College of Pharmacy, Seoul National University, South Korea, as the keynote speaker.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wandee Rungseevijitprapa, Dean of the School of Cosmetic Science, presided over the session. She highlighted that this academic exchange is a core component of the project “Innovation in Cosmetics for Sustainability and Creative Economy,” funded by the Reinventing University 2026 program.
The lecture focused on the molecular mechanisms of natural products, specifically the modulation of redox-sensitive transcription factors such as Nrf2 and NF-κB by dietary phytochemicals. These insights are vital for developing next-generation healthcare and cosmetic products that are both effective and sustainable.
This initiative was organized in close collaboration with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chaiyavat Chaiyasut from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Chiang Mai University, and the COBEW Research Group. This partnership underscores the commitment to fostering high-level research networks between Thai and international scholars.The program successfully fulfilled the goals of the Reinventing University system by strengthening international academic ties and driving global-frontier research. Moving forward, the School of Cosmetic Science and its partners aim to expand this collaboration, paving the way for future joint research and innovative breakthroughs in the cosmetic industry.
